WELCOME to the Long Beach "Stitch'N'Chicks Crafting Club" we are "hooked" on knitting/ crocheting, cross stitching, beading, embroidering, quilting, crafting anything and making new friends. The club loves to knit, crochet, craft and chat. We get together to learn from each other and to create lifelong friendships with a common thread. We are a small, friendly, comfortable, social club of ladies looking for all levels of experience crafters, knitters, and crocheters. We were formed with a club atmosphere and like to do many different and fun social events during the year. While we are crafting, we will be sharing patterns, swaping yarn/crafting supplies, getting or giving advice, helping each other through our frustrating project moments, chatting and gossiping about our knitting/ crocheting/crafting visions, munching on goodies, and planing field trips. The club was formed in July, 2006, formally from Meet-up.com, to meet other avid crafters knitters, crocheters, and to make new friends who want to have fun with a variety of events and field trips. We currently meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm - 9pm. Our meeting location is on the patio of Hof's Hut across from the Long Beach Marina on 2nd and PCH. Past Events 2012 and Members

March 2012-Spring Fling Crazy Socks & Crafting Tote Bags Party- Who was there?-Debb, Pat, Patricia, Shelley, Kay ... What did we do?-This was our annual Spring Fling get together. There were 5 of us there. It was so much fun! We all had our crazy socks on, and black ones...lol.... and the winner was Pat. She really out did herself crocheting a really funny pair of Pink socks, [see the photo album page] Kay wore socks with chicks on them and brought us chicks for our totes, thank you Kay, Shelley showed us how to paint on fabric, thank you Shelley, Patricia decorated her socks with beads,[and left some rolling around the floor :)] and Debb crocheted trim and beads around her pair. The tote bags came out great, I think we all had fun decorating! And oh the food, yummy!!! [ the club dues provided the logos for everyone to iron on]
